Coronavirus (Covid-19) – commercial hire update
Haileybury continues to monitor and review the risks posed by the Coronavirus. Our first priority is to consider the safety of pupils, staff, visitors and sports facility users. Limiting the number of people coming on to site and using our facilities is a key control.
Following the recent government announcement for a return of sport we are pleased to announce that we will open the Sports Complex facilities as of Monday 12th April 2021.
The following roadmap explains how we will be opening our facilities:
Step one: 12th April 2021
*Artificial pitches - Available to hire for clubs/organisations of all age groups.
*Swimming pool - Available to hire for clubs/organisations with under 18yr participants only. Haileybury staff and family swimming will be permitted (individual adult or household groups only).
*Sports hall - Available to hire for clubs/organisations with under 18yr participants only. Individual adult or household groups will also be permitted to hire the facility.
*Fitness suite - to remain closed for commercial hire. Haileybury staff permitted as individual adult use. 14 participants only, using a reduced amount of equipment to aid in social distancing.
*Squash courts - Available to hire for clubs/organisations with under 18yr participants only. Individual adult or household groups will also be permitted.
Step two: 17th May 2021
Swimming pool, sports hall and squash courts can resume for adult groups of up to six individuals or two households.
Fitness suite - to remain closed for commercial hire. Haileybury staff permitted as individual adult use. 14 participants only, using a reduced amount of equipment to aid in social distancing.
Step three: 21st June 2021
All Sports Complex facilities to resume for commercial hire for all age groups with no restrictions.
Prior to our closure we have been reviewing our available hire times and to ensure there is a sufficient “buffer” between pupil and public sessions we have now included a 30 minute changeover period. Due to this adjustment the commercial hire opportunities have been reduced for the swimming pool, sports hall, fitness suite and artificial pitches.

*Wednesday, 7pm - 8pm

*Saturday, 5.30pm - 6.30pm
*Sunday, 9am - 11.30am & 5pm - 6.30pm
Sports Hall - single court, half court and full court hire
*Tuesday, 7pm - 8pm
*Wednesday, 7pm - 8pm (tbc)
*Friday, 7pm - 8pm
*Saturday, 5.30pm - 6.30pm
*Sunday, 9am - 2pm & 5pm - 6.30pm
Artificial Pitch (Theobald) - 1/3 and full pitch hire only

We appreciate that the amendments to the availability will not suit everyone and will affect some of you, for which we apologise. We have to ensure that the safety of our pupils is our main priority and by creating changeover periods we can better manage this situation.
Clubs/organisations will be responsible for managing the safety of their participants whilst on the premises and following the government's guidelines of under 18yr participants only. Sports Complex staff will be responsible for providing a covid safe facility following government and sport governing body guidance.
